Through watching a maths class, I was made aware of the importance of understanding the relationship between 2D 'nets' and their relating 3D forms. Another term for this is 'development'. This blog may prove helpful by showing students (quickly) how 3D forms can be made from a number of 2D paper nets, from the cutting stage, through to folding and finally gluing of the tabs.
